After his years with the Air Force, Jan was working in CzechInvest, Czech government agency for attracting foreign manufacturing investment. Being Manager of Green Field Projects Department he gained substantial experience with supporting the first-rate foreign companies establishing their operations in the country.

Later he worked as General Manager of a Czech production plant of a multinational company producing artificial casings. During the years the plant extended it operations up to about 850 employees and became one of the largest production facilities of the type worldwide.

Recently he managed Czech and Slovak office of an international consultancy business established and solely owned by a Spanish saving bank. He and his team were focused primarily to projects in automotive, renewable energy, mining, food, health and hotel sectors
